DAY WITH A SAMI REINDEER HERDER

Experience the traditional journey of a Sámi reindeer herder! Observe Näkkälä’s reindeer grazing freely in the beautiful Näkkälä fell highlands!

This immersive adventure allows you to photograph reindeer at close range in their natural wilderness habitat, along with a unique opportunity to see a reindeer herder at work.

Excursion dates run from the beginning of January to mid April. 

The duration of the adventure is approximately 4-6 hours, depending on weather and location of reindeer herder. 

 The tour begins with pickup from Hetta’s accommodation or other agreed location, then travel to the reindeer by snowmobile or sleigh. 

Cold weather apparel is required for this trip. Warm overalls, jackets, and boots/shoes are available for rent 12.00€ a day per person, and can be reserved in the online store when booking the excursion. 

The price is 200€/person. The minimum group size is 2 people, with the maximum being 4 people. For bigger groups contact numbers below.
