MÖHKIS

The Möhkis-cottage is a log cabin in Hetta, Enontekiö, on the shore of Lake Ounasjärvi. Cabin has been build in 70's. You can get there by car in the summer. In the winter, you sometimes have to leave your car 50 meters away, at the beginning of the cottage road. The cottage has electricity but no water. You have to bring drinking water with you and sauna water is carried from the lake. The cottage is on a small hill, the slope to the shore is a bit steep. It is difficult for people with weak legs to get water from the lake or go swimming. There is a lean-to shelter in the yard with a campfire site in front of it.

Clean the apartment and the surroundings when you leave. Rental price doesn't includes cleaning. We charge €250 for cleaning. In Hetta, next to the K-market, there are garbage cans for mixed waste and sorting bins for plastic, cardboard, glass and metal.

The wood in the hut is intended for heating the cabin and sauna. Burn twigs in the outdoor fireplace. Making your own fireplaces is prohibited. The yard and beach are in a natural state and we would like them to remain that way. There is no furniture in the yard.

Good to know: 

The cabin has electricity, but no water. Dishwashing is done outside. 

Outdoor toilet. 

Beds for 3 people, extra bed is a mattress. The beds have mattresses, blankets and pillows. Bed linen and towels for an additional fee. You can also rent a high chair and a travel cot for a small child from us. 

The cabin has a hotplate, wood stove, refrigerator, dishes and cooking utensils. 

The cabin has a wood-fired sauna and a rowing boat.
